System Shock is an action role-playing game developed by Looking Glass Technologies and published by Origin Systems. Released in 1994, the game is set aboard the fictional Citadel Station in a cyberpunk vision of 2072. Assuming the role of a nameless hacker, the player attempts to hinder the plans of a malevolent artificial intelligence.
This is version 0.9 of SYSTEMSHOCK-Portable, based on the CD enhanced version originally released by Looking Glass Technologies (later Looking Glass Studios). It unpacks to 108MB and can be played from an USB-key or external drive, or from your local HD. SSP includes the complete English game of System Shock and allows for higher resolutions not found in the original game. SSP works natively on WinXP(32bit) and on WinXP/WinVista(64bit) via the integrated DOSbox emulation.
